*First grade teachers and interventionists should take First Steps as well as the three days of Foundation classes, if they have students at the Beginning Reading level.
When and Where?
CR Successs Learning offers training in the Denver area on a year-round basis. Specific location will be announced upon registration. To inquire about trainings outside of the Denver area, please contact tricia@crsuccesslearning.com.
*Every effort will be made to conduct workshops as advertised. However, CR Success reserves the right to cancel the workshop. If canceled, registrants will be notified at least a week in advance and fees will be fully refunded.

Expert Training for Expert Teachers
Teacher’s kits, used for training, must be purchased separately.
Foundations I
Theory of Reading Development, Linguistic Background, Magnetic Folder Lesson Framework, Concepts 1-4
Participants will learn the research behind best practices of teaching reading. The afternoon will focus on learning the Magnetic Folder lesson that is a common element in all CR Success programs. Closed syllables with consonant digraphs and trigraphs will be covered.
foundations III
Concepts 17, 18, 20, 22-24, Program Delivery
Participants will learn the phonetic concepts for uncommon vowel teams and variant consonants. The majority of the day will be devoted to the specific program selected by the participant (Level 1, Level 2, PRISM Reading) in order to learn the specialized components of each program, including assessment and implementation.

Cost: $175 per 7.5 hour class

Foundations II
Concepts 5-16, 19, 21, Book Lesson
Participants will learn the phonetic concepts all six syllable types, basic morphology, and CR Success’ unique way to teach long vowel sounds and their patterns. Effective strategies for teaching vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency will be taught.
First Steps (Early Literacy)
Concepts of Print, Phonemic Awareness, Sound-Symbol Associations for 31 Phonemes, Alphabetic Principle, Guided Reading for Beginning Readers
Participants will learn the specific strategies and instructional procedures for the implementation of the First Steps Program.
