Description

Students learn new Greek and Latin roots. They also study new affixes and practice previously learned affixes. They deconstruct each word by dividing it into its morphemes, reading the definition based on morphemes, and writing the modern meaning. Students complete a story, using Wordsmith words, including variations of these words.

Goal: To continue to teach the meaning and spelling of multisyllabic words, using more advanced Latin and Greek roots
Time: Student – 15-20 minutes per day Preparation – 20 minutes per week
