Description

Students review letter-sound correspondences for consonants, short vowels, and consonant teams. They learn letter-sound correspondences for vowel teams, R-controlled vowels, and inflectional suffixes. They develop a beginning understanding of the six syllable types. They also continue to study irregular T.R.I.C.K.y words.

Goal: To provide a word study program that emphasizes Level 1 spelling patterns and spelling conventions
Time: Student – 15-20 minutes per day Preparation – 20 minutes per week
